Job Purpose
- Technician (Electronics Engineering) - To carry out the installation, modification and all preventative and breakdown maintenance work to electronic and related technical equipment at water reservoirs, pump stations and treatment works.
- Senio Technician (Electronics Engineering) - To carry out the installation, modification and all preventative and breakdown maintenance work to electronic and related technical equipment.
- Technician (Electronic Engineering)-34004992: - Ensures that all electronic communication and monitoring/control equipment are kept in good working order. Undertakes preventative breakdown maintenance. Conducts electronic workshop repairs of faulty electronic equipment down to the component level. Installs and commissions electronic equipment. Provides onsite support in respect of trouble shooting problems and restoring operation of equipment. Supervises subordinate staff. Ensures that all work is undertaken according to safety procedures and policies and that the work site is safe. Ensures that assigned staff are issued with uniforms and safety clothing.
- Senior Technician (Electrnonic Engineering)-34004992B: - Investigate malfunctioning of telemetry installations and associated equipment. Process orders for services and materials to contractors and suppliers.\Undertake breakdown maintenance work to electronic instrumentation, telemetry, radiocommunications installations and related hardware. Supervise subordinate staff.
- National Diploma in Electronic Engineering or Equivalent.
- Registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa as a Candidate Electronic Technician.
- Valid motor vehicle drivers license (Code B).
- 1 Year relevant experience
- Computer Literacy.
- National Diploma in Electronic Engineering or Equivalent.
- Registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa as a Professional Technician in
- Electronic Engineering.
- Valid motor vehicle drivers license (Code B).
- 3 Years relevant post qualification experience.
- Computer Literacy.
